Account Executive

Job purpose

The purpose of this job is to have a high level of policy and parliamentary knowledge such that clients are kept up to date with developments of interest. This should also include delivery of tactics as agreed within the communications strategy, supporting both Account Managers and Account Directors with the day-to-day running of accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Account Executives are expected to:

• Provide high level quality monitoring to assigned clients in a timely manner
• Demonstrate GK values
• Take notes in meetings, and follow up with action notes to be signed off by Account Managers and shared with clients
• Organisation of agendas and papers for client meetings
• Strong policy knowledge of sectors relevant to assigned clients
• Strong understanding of GK Strategy
• Responsibilities for logistics management for external client meetings
• To provide client-ready content to be signed off by Account Managers
• To produce high quality written work
• Chase correspondence with media and politicians, flagging any issues to • • Account Managers
• Support on media sell-ins
• Compilation of media coverage reports
• Responsible for updating monitoring terms on a regular basis with DeHavilland and Vuelio
• Flags resourcing/time management issues
• Undertakes relevant compliance training
• Has a comprehensive understanding of how Parliament and the media work
• Provides research and support to wider GK team on new business activity

GK Support

• Undertakes office support tasks as required
• Answers telephones and buzzer as required
• Welcomes clients
• Ensures filing systems are kept neat, tidy and up to date
• Identify own areas for personal and professional growth
• Complete Toggl on a weekly basis
• Ensure holiday handovers are drafted in adequate time
• Keep Salesforce up to date
• Undertakes relevant compliance training
